FAQ
Frequently Ask Questions
Right now, our deputies are only given a pen, paper, their personal cell phones, a body bag, and gloves—anything else, they have to buy themselves. That’s unacceptable. As coroner, I’ll equip them with the tools they need: iPads for digital reporting, proper lights for safe fieldwork, modern equipment like body cameras and transport gear, and dedicated training programs drawing from my EMT background. No more lagging behind neighboring counties—we’ll modernize Campbell County into the 21st century. Plus, I’ll add community workshops where deputies can train locals on emergency response, building stronger ties. This is about empowering our team to serve you with excellence. Vote for me on May 19th, and let’s build a golden era for Campbell County.

The 30-year incumbent, Mark Schweitzer, is under an ethics investigation for embezzlement,
including renting a tiny coat closet from his private chiropractic office for $1,800 a month in
taxpayer money—to himself! That’s stealing from you, leaving deputies without a proper
workspace. He’s turned down free resources from the state, like vehicles, just to brag about
returning $800,000 in budgets—while our county suffers. I’ll end this by using free county office
space, maximizing every dollar for real needs, and publishing annual transparency reports so
you see where funds go. I’ll ensure fiscal integrity and even seek grants for upgrades. No more
self-dealing—it’s time for honest leadership. Join me in restoring trust; vote on May 19th.

Imagine your grandmother, mother, or even child being marked with a permanent Sharpie on
their inner left thigh—doodled with info because Marker Mark is too cheap for identity bracelets or toe tags. He allows funeral homes to do this, even when you’re paying $6,000 to $10,000 for services, all to line pockets while he embezzles. Under Kentucky law, as coroner, he’s supposed to protect the deceased and hold anyone accountable for disturbing or harming a body—but he fails. This is abuse of a corpse, defined by the outrage it causes any regular person, and it outrages me. Day one, I’ll ban this practice county-wide, enforce the law strictly, and introduce dignity protocols with my funeral industry experience. We’ll also offer free grief counseling sessions for families. This shame ends with me. Vote for dignity—on May 19th.

Too many overdoses are treated lightly, but not under my watch—I’ll classify preventable deaths as murders where evidence shows, holding the thugs who sold the drugs accountable. I’ll work hand-in-hand with law enforcement, providing the resources their investigations need, like detailed evidence documentation and shared tech from our office. The incumbent fails here, but with my endorsements from law enforcement allies, we’ll crack down. Additionally, I’ll launch public awareness campaigns on drug dangers, using my office to educate schools and communities. This isn’t just reaction—it’s prevention and justice. Let’s protect our families; vote on May 19th.

According to the state, the incumbent isn’t filing required annual reports on child deaths—that’s wrong and neglects our most vulnerable. As coroner, I’ll do my job diligently, ensuring every report is filed accurately and on time to help prevent future tragedies through better data and collaboration. Drawing from my hospice and EMT training, I’ll also expand child safety initiatives, like partnering with schools for awareness programs on accident prevention; teaching our students how to drive responsibly. Being County Coroner is more than just checking a pulse. No more shortcuts; we’ll maximize resources to honor and learn from every loss. This is about accountability and care. Vote for a coroner who shows up—on May 19th.
Visual Notes: Warm, empathetic tone; B-roll of community kids (blurred faces for privacy).

What I Stand For
Dignity and Humanity After Death
For too long, the current Campbell County Coroner’s office has suffered from mismanagement, leaving it outdated and under-equipped; years behind our neighboring counties. Families in our community are underserved, and precious tax dollars have not been invested wisely — with funds being “given back to the state” rather than used to improve operations. Our office still relies on equipment and methods from the 20th century, falling far behind neighboring counties that have embraced modern tools and practices.
This must change. As your Coroner, I will prioritize:
Investing in up-to-date equipment, technology, and training for deputy coroners so they can perform thorough, efficient, and accurate death investigations in the modern age, while having the dedicated resources and office space needed.
Ensuring resources go directly to supporting the team on the ground for investigations — not to embezzling or unnecessary returns of funds.
Building a professional, forward-looking office that meets the needs of our growing community and delivers dignity after death to every family.
Our deputy coroners deserve the tools and support to do their jobs effectively. I will fight to end mismanagement and redirect resources where they belong: to serving Campbell County families.
Compassion and Following the Law
Campbell County continues to be devastated by the opioid epidemic. Far too many families have lost loved ones to drugs sold by thugs who profit from addiction. For too long, these thugs have escaped true accountability for the lives they destroy.
When I am elected Coroner, I will change that. In every overdose death, my office will conduct thorough investigations, document evidence meticulously, and collaborate closely with law enforcement. Where the facts show that a drug dealer supplied the fatal dose, every thug responsible will be charged with murder — treating these preventable deaths as the killings they truly are.
As your Coroner, I pledge to lead with integrity, empathy, and a relentless focus on doing what is right. The Coroner’s office should be a source of comfort in times of sorrow — not frustration or delay with stealing of tax dollars and desecration by doodling on our loved ones with a sharpie marker.
Together, we can restore trust, modernize operations, protect our community from thugs, and ensure every family receives the respect and support they need.
